Vietnam Airlines leverages Sabre technology to enhance network planning

Vietnam Airlines has joined hands with Sabre Corporation to elevate its flight planning and embrace its global expansion. The airline operates in 100 routes across 22 domestic and 31 international destinations. The routes also include direct flights to France, Germany and The UK. They have recently added routes to India, US, Italy, Germany, and the Philippines. The Airlines is also planning to introduce routes to Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.

To streamline this growth, Vietnam Airlines will incorporate Sabre’s technology. The technology includes the tools that will help the airline to match the aircraft with demand. It will also help to optimize with hub operations and, improve codeshare planning, which will create more profitable schedules across its network.

Nguyen Quan Trung, director of corporate planning and development at Vietnam Airlines said, “Sabre’s network planning and optimisation tools will help us pinpoint profitable routes, create optimised schedules, and stay agile in a dynamic environment – enabling us to deliver greater value for both our passengers and our business,”

We look forward to helping Vietnam Airlines unlock further geographic and revenue growth” said, Rakesh Narayanan, Sabre Corporation’s vice president and regional general manager of Asia Pacific for travel solutions airline sales.
