 Microsoft is said to Invest in Ant Group-Backed Indonesian Startup Bukalapak

Willing to invest in the e-commerce platform, Microsoft has linked up with Ant Group-backed Indonesian startup Bukalapak to provide digital skills training for Bukalapak employees and their merchants.

 

For over 12 million micro, small, and medium enterprises along with 100 million customers, the partnership will result in cloud support services for over 12 million micro, small, and medium enterprises along with 100 million customers.

Haris Izmee, President Director of Microsoft Indonesia, said, “Through this partnership, merchants and consumers will have a more efficient and reliable buying and selling experiences, which in turn, creates business resilience and helps in accelerating growth in the Indonesian digital economy.”

Declining to specify the amount, Bukalapak’s spokeswoman has confirmed the investment. But however, Microsoft did not immediately respond to comment.

From building resilient cloud infrastructure to support over six million online merchants and six million offline ones, aiming to bridge the digital gap, making the digital world relevant for every individual on a daily basis, to  providing digital skill training for Bukalapak employees and their merchants.
